Jealous Kitten Admits Love for Baby When No One is Looking
Sunny was a shelter cat who found a loving home with a nice couple. He was a friendly and happy orange tabby cat who enjoyed his new life. But everything changed when his parents brought home a baby girl named Hazel. Sunny seemed to lose his cheerful spirit and became distant and cold toward the baby.
What Had Gone Wrong?
Sunny’s parents were shocked and confused. They knew Sunny was a warmhearted cat who loved to cuddle and play. But he acted like he wanted nothing to do with Hazel.
He would ignore her cries, avoid her toys, and stay away from her room. He would only lie on the opposite end of the couch when Hazel was on it. This went on for months! His parents hoped that Sunny would eventually warm up to Hazel, but little did they know!

They purchased a monitor for their baby’s crib to keep an eye on Hazel while she slept. One night, they glanced at the screen and saw something surprising: Sunny was snuggled up next to Hazel in her crib, sleeping peacefully! They couldn’t believe their eyes. How could Sunny act so differently when they were not around? What was going on in his mind?
Could it Be Jealousy?
The truth was, Sunny, did love Hazel, but he was too shy and proud to show it. He was afraid of losing his parents’ attention and affection, so he pretended to be indifferent and aloof. But deep down, he cared for his baby sister and wanted to protect her. He only sneaked into her crib when he thought no one was watching, hoping to share warmth and comfort with her.

Sunny was a sweet but stubborn cat with a secret soft spot for Hazel. He just needed time and encouragement to open his heart and let his parents know how he felt. He loved his family, and he loved his baby sister too!
