Overhearing Her Boyfriend Curse At The Cat, The Woman Kicks Him Out.

There will always be compromises when you decide to live with your significant other. You know the basics like how to squeeze the toothpaste correctly or fold the towels “correctly” according to your significant other. Putting pets into the mix is another story. Pet owners should, of course, have a spouse who likes their pet and vice versa. When a person loves another person, taking care of their four-legged friend is in their best interest.

Jealousy can occasionally rear its ugly head, but we all know that. It’s a sad fact that not everyone enjoys cats. Cats are awesome and often underappreciated, so I think it is their loss!

Recent posts in the cleverly titled “Am I The Asshole” space tell the tale of one cat lover’s relationship plight. Users quickly spoke up for her. It’s easy to understand why judging by her now ex-boyfriend.

A Saddening Incident

“When my boyfriend’s lease ended, he moved into my apartment. We’ve discussed it for a while, and when my lease ended, he moved in with me.

I’ve had my cat Millie since she was a kitten, and she’s my baby girl. As we first started dating, my BF joked that he’d have to get rid of the cat if we were ever going to live together. I laughed at the time and said you would have to get used to it.

Whenever he came over, he ignored Millie, saying how stick-up cats are and how much he loves dogs. Since he was never hostile towards her, I dismissed this as well. It seemed like an individual preference.

Here is what happened. While he was home, he didn’t see me in the kitchen. I heard him enter the room and sigh as he lay on the couch.

It didn’t take me long for him to say, “You are so f*cking worthless.”

I was frightened because I had never heard such hatred uttered by him before. It sounded as if he were someone else.

It’s here that I could be the jerk. The whole thing freaked me out. Then I yelled at him, asking why he thought he had to talk to her like that? I grabbed Millie and ordered him to leave as soon as possible.

He looked so stunned and started to argue, asking where he was supposed to go? I told him that I didn’t care. He just needed to leave.

Finally We Patch Things Up

She returned the cuddles, knowing I was upset and shaking. Later, when he texted to ask if he could come back, I agreed to meet him. He understood how much I love my cat, and I apologized for making him feel that this place wasn’t his.
