A Kitten That Was Found Walking On Its Bone Stumps Is Now Enjoying Its New Forever Home

This adorable kitty’s name is Pascoe and he is named after the much resilient and decorated Paralympic Swimmer from New Zealand, Sophie Frances Pascoe.

The Blair’s found the 21-day-old kitty on their family farm back in April in a highly malnourished state. Not only that, but he was also missing parts of both of his back legs. The family told the reporters that they suspect that the kitty was dumped on their farm. When the Blair family found Pascoe, he was using the bone stumps of his back legs for walking around.

Sophie Blair said, “He wanted help. When we first saw him, he was meowing non-stop, but he was also terrified. He wouldn’t come near us.” Although the kitten was initially scared, the family was able to rescue him from where he was hiding, and then they also took him to the vet. The veterinarian said that Pascoe had lost his muscle and that there was an infection in the bones.

Pascoe needed one whole week of rest before he had the strength for surgery to cover his exposed bone stumps with skin for healing.

Before Pascoe underwent surgery, the Blair family took it to social media to check if anybody searched for the cat. Since nobody responded, they made Pascoe a part of their family. The family also started a TikTok and fundraising page to make people aware of this amazing and resilient kitty. They also wanted to raise money for his vet bills.

In their most recent social media update, the family showed gratitude and shared some good news on the kitten’s progress. The update said, “Pascoe has been rescued for life thanks to so many of you. Words cannot express our gratitude. We now would love to help pass on future donations for food, medication, surgery, and all other necessities these poor animals require to make the best possible recovery.”

As of now, the Blair family is quite happy with their new pet, and they are looking forward to their healthy and joyous future together!
